Hey Virg Members,
I've got a couple of questions for you about joining at Virg's site. Are you guys Premium members?
I'm thinking of joining for at least a month and want to know if it's worth it? Would you say there are a lot of clips of him. I assume you can download and save them, right? Are the printed charts, lessons, etc good? It seems pretty pricey, so I'm curious what your overall impressions of it are. Thanks,
Brad

Hey, V.
Well, I have been a premium member
from the start.
When I decided to become a member,
I knew exactly what I wanted. You
have to think of what you want.
Playing double-kick was totally new
to me, when I found Virgil. I had
made the decision that I would adopt
it and Virgil was the best drummer,
that I could see doing it and in a
genre most palletable. I'm not a
Heavy Metal man.
What I have found, however, is that
Virgil is as developed in his hands
etc. and so it's become a total return
that I am getting.
I am modifying my approach. His videos
take me from basic, where I feel I
need to work and build me up. These
routines are tried and tested and he
is sharing with us. He is uploading
the classes more and more frequently.
It's only going to get better.
There are also audio files he gives
us to work with.
There are other little 'tricks' that
come out too and other bonuses that I
feel makes the membership cheap. If
they would have taken two years, up
front, I would have given it to them.
I'm slanted, of course. Why don't you
try a month and see what you think?
Like I said, to me, it seems radically
cheap.

It IS radically cheap - if you consider the cost of what you'd pay to get private lessons from guys of this calibre.
Apparently LOTS to offer. Keep ya busy for a 'good while.' When Virg says, "me 'love' you long time," it means, make room on that daily schedule calendar for some serious practice time, boys & girls...

Hey to the OTHER V, The lessons have just started really and aleady there is some pretty intense!! stuff. What will it be like down the road Yes I agree concur with Peter Virgil hands are as developed and WICKED as his feet maybe more at times. He shows us how to take fairly basic rudiments and use them in a very advanced manner, like a swiss triplet pattern utilizing the hands and feet with three or 4 variations and building up to a ridiculous speed with amazing dexterity, fluidity and precision.
Of course Virgil takes the ideas and uses them on a VERY advanced level at times but it is to inspire of course to what is possible.
As Peter said it is just getting better all the time and it is worth it EVEN MORE IF you are a fan of Virgil's playing. Of course it is about technique as of right now and not so much this or that style which could come down the road.
The clinic/concert/performance clips make it even more worhtwhile IMO. But try it for a month and see, which would be the best way to find out of course. Hope this helps a little.

I have the intention of becoming a member in the future.
I have one small question to the members: if I do it in a couple of months, do I have access to all the previous lessons, or just the subsequent ones?, or how does it works?, I mean, if I pay for 1 month, I can only take the lessons of that month?.
Thank you!!.

The great thing is is that you can go back and look at the older lessons. It is all there for review whenever need be. And of course it can be downloaded to your own files.

Thanks for all the good and informative responses. I just wanted to make sure there was a decent amount of material beforehand and knew you guys would have the answer.
I've been a Virgil fan for over 10 years now since I first got Power Drumming. I met him a decade ago for the first time at NAMM and have hung with him several times during the many clinics we've had with him and his band. I've picked his brain many times in the past but this way I won't feel like I'm imposing on the guy.
BTW, the shop I teach at, the Drum Pad in Palatine, IL is having a bunch of upcoming clinics in June, including Virgil with Planet X. This will be the second we've had him with his band and the fourth or fifth time with him. Hopefully, my membership will give me some good stuff to ask him. Thanks again guys.
Peter, I expect to see you there - and finally meet you! June 13th @ Durty Nellies! Mark your calendar.
